Our History

Our History

If you live in Dublin you may have seen our work over the past 70 years or so. We create signage but we also create Landmarks!

Taylor Signs was set up over 70 years ago by the Taylor Family but is now owned by Owen Kennedy and Cormac O’Connor. One of the first signs ever manufactured was the well known “Why go bald” Sign. The sign advertises a hair and skin clinic in South Great Georges Street Dublin and has appeared in the background of films such as Educating Rita and A man of no importance.

This historic sign is appreciated by many famous Dubliners including U2’s Bono who says it is his favourite Dublin Landmark. It is also currently featured in the Electric Ireland TV advert.
